On September 12th and 13th, 2025, Rome hosted the third edition of the World Meeting on Human Fraternity, the international event conceived and promoted by Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, which brought together Nobel Prize winners, religious leaders, representatives of institutions, and cultural figures to reflect on the meaning of being human today.

CEO Giuseppe Lanzi coordinated the organization of the 3,000 drone show created by Nova Sky Stories during the Grace for the World concert event, in front of over 100,000 people and broadcast across five continents, as well as the internal logistics within the Vatican during the event.

On September 12th and 13th, 2025, Rome hosted the third edition of the World Meeting on Human Fraternity, the international event conceived and encouraged by Cardinal Mauro Gambetti and promoted by Basilica of St. Peter, Fondazione Fratelli Tutti , St. Peter for Humanity, and the Be Human association, to maintain an open dialogue on universal fraternity as the foundation of peace, social justice, and sustainability. Two days of discussion, attended by Nobel Peace Prize winners, religious leaders, institutional representatives, and prominent figures in global culture, featured roundtable discussions addressing the major issues of our time: from the climate crisis to social inequality, from the role of younger generations to the contribution of religions in building bridges of peace.

The Meeting concluded with the grand concert-event “Grace for the World” in St. Peter’s Square, attended by over 100,000 people and broadcast across five continents by Disney+ and Hulu, and for Italy by TV2000 and Rete4, and featuring the participation of Andrea Bocelli, Pharrell Williams, John Legend, Karol G, and the choir of the Diocese of Rome, conducted by Msgr. Frisina.

THEMATIC TABLES AND INTERNATIONA DIALOGUE

On Friday September the 12th, 2025, fifteen thematic tables were held in symbolic locations across Rome – from the Campidoglio to the Vatican – addressing crucial issues such as the environment and sustainability, economics and finance, artificial intelligence, health, sports, and the third sector. These moments of discussion gave voice to pioneering witnesses, experts, religious leaders, and young innovators, with the aim of transforming mutual listening into shared commitments and concrete actions.

The information roundtable specifically featured the participation of leading media network directors and CEOs: a necessary and urgent meeting to address the issues of truth, dignity, and freedom in a global context in which “propaganda and a certain subculture seek to manipulate the truth in information,” said Father Enzo Fortunato, the roundtable coordinator, during the press conference presenting the event.

The work then culminated in the solemn Assembly of the Human at Campidoglio, with the participation of personalities such as Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, Archpriest of Basilica of St. Peter, Vicar General of His Holiness for the Vatican City, and President of Fabbrica di San Pietro; Graça Machel Mandela, activist and politician, co-founder of The Elders; and Maria Ressa, 2021 Nobel Peace Prize laureate. The results of the thematic sessions were presented here, with the aim of identifying the points that define the concept of “being human” and universal brotherhood as a constitutive component of humanity.

As Cardinal Mauro Gambetti emphasized in his speech to the Assembly, “Fraternity is not an abstract idea but a practice that restores the face of others, that transforms conflicts into creative energies, that makes freedom true and equality rigth. […] It is not enough for us to make diagnoses; the world does not need sterile analyses: it needs therapies, healing, trust, concrete fraternity.”

THE ROLE OF SISIFO, BETWEEN LOGISTICS AND SPECTACLE

In this international context, Sisifo Società Benefit, represented by its CEO Giuseppe Lanzi, providing its knowledge of the specific context and experience in managing major events – including, for example, The Economy of Francesco and Together – Gathering of The People of God – was commissioned by Fabbrica di San Pietro to oversee two strategic aspects of the event:

the coordination of the 3,000-drone show – produced by Kimbal Musk’s Nova Sky Stories – which on the final evening painted evocative symbolic images in the sky above Michelangelo’s Dome: from the face of Pope Francis, author of the encyclical Fratelli Tutti that inspired the event, to masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s Pietà and The Creation of Adam;
the organization of internal Vatican logistics, including managing relations with Vatican and Italian authorities, which allowed the various activities, including meetings and performances, to run smoothly and safely.
